Providence

Providence is a program of the Second Harvest Food Bank of NWNC that has three primary activities.  One – we train unemployed and under employed individuals in culinary arts and life skills so that we may help to place them in meaningful sustainable jobs. Two – we utilize these students to produce ready to heat meals for our neighbors in NWNC who struggle to feed themselves and their families.  Three – we engage in several revenue generating social enterprises that help us to sustain our not-for profit activities and offer meaningful work and training opportunityies to our regular and advanced student.  We offer two restaurants, catering, small scale food manufacturing, and we have a variety of merchandise for sale.
