Homeward Bound of Marin
Founded in 1974 as a family shelter, Homeward Bound has evolved to become Marin County’s main provider of residential and support services for families and individuals experiencing homelessness. Fresh Starts Culinary Academy is our award-winning 10-week training and job placement program for homeless and low-income youth and adults. The program is certified by the American Culinary Federation and allows students to earn the nationally recognized Safe Food Handling Certification. Homeward Bound also operates an event space (www.thekeyroom.com), a café for seniors, a shelter meals program, and a line of high-end dog treats (www.wagstertreats.com).
