Catalyst Kitchens Membership

Empowerment through Job Training

First and foremost, our network provides a pathway out of poverty through foodservice training, soft skills development, and targeted job placement services.

Member programs serve anyone with barriers to employment, including but not limited to those currently or formerly homeless (youth age 16-24 & adult 18+), formerly incarcerated individuals, refugee populations, individuals with gaps in employment history, individuals with developmental or physical disabilities, those in recovery from addiction, and veterans.

Sustainability through Social Enterprise

Our members operate foodservice businesses that serve as training grounds for their students while offsetting programmatic costs through generated revenue.

Our members operate many kinds of foodservice operations, including brick and mortar businesses such as bakeries, catering, cafes, restaurants, food trucks, contract meals services to schools, daycare centers, senior centers, local shelters, & in-house clients residing in program's housing facilities, and food manufacturing.

Community Engagement through Foodservice

This program model cannot thrive without the support and engagement of the community, from referral partners to the local chef community, employers, volunteers, donors, and everyone in between.

Member programs are services agencies such as faith-based organizations, housing providers, community action agencies, human services agencies, food centered organizations such as food banks & soup kitchens, and training programs that partner with local social service agencies.
