Delivery van recommendations?

Opportunities for Broome, Inc., in Binghamton NY, are determining which vehicles they need to purchase for their meal deliveries. Do you have any experience or input to offer based on their following requirements:
- Food delivered in bulk to centers with family style meals
- Centers have staff and facilities to heat food if necessary
- 2 different routes to cover 4 centers, each route about 20 miles away
- Plans to eventually expand, as community has expressed need
- 260 meals daily (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Of these meals;
- 130 are hot lunches with occasional sandwich
- 65 are breakfast (1/2 of which are hot)
- Snacks are served cold or room temperature
- Cold beverages are sometimes included
We are currently serving 2400 meals each day to 10 sites. When we started a year ago we made the decision to lease our vehicles. We started with one and then added a second one as the need arose. We lease from Ryder and have found them to be easy to work with. They take care of all the maintenance and provide a replacement vehicle when things go wrong. Purchasing a vehicle puts all the responsibility on you for upkeep and maintenance. You can also have your logo put on the leased vehicle. Please contact me if you would like further information.
